I met Martin at ESCP and we traded books. I read his this weekend and really enjoyed the innovative approach the authors take to presenting case studies. Rather than a dry breakdown of how modern business solves problems, the authors look at how famous and successful artists have been able to succeed. They then took "lessons learned" from artists as varied as Madonna, Hirst, and Koons and apply them to the business, building a strong methodology in the process. At the heart the book is still a management book. But it successfully breaks free of the traditional business book model and makes for a compelling read.
